Electronic retribalization. Marshall McCluhan. The Mechanical Bride 1951.

Hundreds of new isolated communities, newly built estates are being constructed on the peripharies of urban culture, housing legions of workers connected by a single road.

We all now belong to electronic communes. These virtual ideological communes are determined and defined by our real world localities and circumstances in perpetual conflict with rival communes. Virtual nations are emerging and the narrative of the physical nation state is diminishing.

...but from the kids born into this uniformity and conformity a new rebellion will emerge.

These homes have been located on a google maps tour of new-build estates in England.
